Sid's special day is Thursday 2nd July 2009
Sid's special day is Thursday. It's an open invite to everyone who wants to be there. We will be leaving from our new address at 178 Hill Village Road Sutton Coldfield B75 5JG at 9.30am and making the short journey to St James's church on the Mere green Road (opposite Sainsburys) where the service and burial will take place.
The whole service and burial will be as bright and breezy as we can make it. Children are very very welcome and we will be doing all we can to accomodate the bubbly nature of all our little ones. Julie and I are choosing not to wear black to Sid's special day. You are invited to do the same but feel free to wear whatever you prefer.
People are asking about flowers or donations. Do whatever feels right for you, flowers will be great or alternatively we would like donations to go to accorns in Selly oak.
To follow the service we'll head into digbeth to Hennessey's for some refreshments. You can see all the details for Hennessey's on their website. www.hennesseysbar.com
It's a simple 20 minute trip. You simply go through Erdington, down Gravelly Hill and onto the expressway, leave the expressway just before the road reaches it elavated section. You'll know it's time to get off when you see the over head sign that reads "end of motorway" it's signposted childrens hospital and university to your left. Exit and drive down to the island where you see the huge old victorian fire station will be on your left. Take the first exit which brings you into 20 mph zone follow the road through 2 lots of lights. after 300meters you'll go under a bridge and see the landmark bubbly selfridges building to your right. You are now at the top of Digbeth high st. Hennesseys is on the first corner on the left opposite Digbeth Police station on the corner off Allison st. Directly behind Hennessey's is a car park .
We'll add more details as the arrangements are made. All our Love Steve and Julie.x
